How I’m Feeling: Paranoid, Grateful, and Lonely.
Overview of this Month:

In two weeks, I’ve moved my step count average from around 4,000 steps a day to almost 10,000.
Already, that’s a huge win. I know how averages work, and that one crazy long walking day could throw the whole thing out of proportion, but still. I am very happy to be seeing progress.
Today, I barely stepped at all until 9pm. I felt like I was going to give up on my goal. I overdid it Friday, making 18,000 steps and staying up until midnight with one social engagement after another. By the weekend I was toast, and it was hard to come back from. I didn’t expect to make it to 20,000 today, but I’m glad I broke 10.
The writing has been coming along nicely. I met an editor and had a lovely conversation at the bookstore for a few hours that got me excited about myself as a writer again.
I have been thinking a lot about how to move into the habits of writing, curriculum development, and bookish ideas. I have no solid answers yet, but what I learned today is that each step forward is progress, even if it’s not exactly in the direction I hoped to go.
Looking forward to tomorrow, when I’ll get to walk some more, play with Canva, write poetry, and *hopefully* dig into a Western romance.
Night!
Sarina
